Ness Tech opens Pune centre

Pune June 25 Ness Technologies, a player in IT services and solutions, today inaugurated its new development centre in Pune.

This is the fifth centre for the company, which has presence in Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Mumbai.

Speaking to newspersons, Mr Sachi Gerlitz, President and CEO, said that the Pune centre would be the global hub for systems software development. The company began Indian operations in Bangalore in 2000. The current employee strength is 2,500 and the company looking to double it in 18-24 months. The Pune centre, which currently has 200 staff, would be house close to 800 within this timeframe, he said. The company's Indian operations have crossed the $100-million mark, accounting for 20 per cent of global revenues.
