Security Websense beefs up firewalls Coimbatore, Oct. 28 Websense Security Labs has reinforced customer security protection with on-demand threat intelligence. This is expected to protect customers from blended Web and email-based security threats. The lab issued two alerts last week based on findings from Websense's global, on-demand e-mail and Web filtering network. According to a note from Websense, Web filtering network scans over 350 million e-mails every week for e-mail security threats, and its ThreatSeeker technology scans more than 600 million Web sites every week searching for malicious code.Websense has pledged enhanced database functionality for the recently acquired SurfControl Web Filter and Mobile Filter customers by supplementing the SurfControl database with its own URL database of more than 30 million Web sites by the first calendar quarter of 2008. - Our Bureau
