Mumbai, Nov. 14 Essar group company Aegis BPO has acquired the Gurgaon-based TeleTech Services (India) Ltd, a front-to-back-office business process outsourcing firm, in an all cash deal of $13 million.

The acquisition will enable Aegis BPO to strengthen its presence in the domestic market and provide a significant ramp-up opportunity especially in the telecom space, Mr Aparup Sengupta, CEO & Managing Director, Aegis BPO, said at a news conference here on Wednesday.

TeleTech is a joint venture firm with Bharti Ventures Ltd holding 40 per cent stake and TeleTech, US, holding the rest. “We are looking at both organic and inorganic growth opportunities in geographies such as Europe, the Philippines and other regions in South East Asia,” said Mr Sudhir Agarwal, COO, Aegis.
