Telecommunications Government - Security ‘BlackBerry issue to be resolved soon’ Our Bureau New Delhi, April 9 The Government would soon resolve security issues concerning BlackBerry services in India, Mr Jyotiraditya Scindia, the newly appointed Minister of State for IT and Communications, said today. “We will find a solution on the BlackBerry issue soon,” he told reporters after taking charge. The Minister further said that India needed to move up the value chain and focus on being a product nation as well. “India needs to transcend its boundaries from a purely back office and software programming nation to a product nation because that’s where Intellectual Property lies,” he said. Outlining his priorities, Mr Scindia said, “We have to ensure that the common man not only gets a product or service but also at the best price.” He also stressed on the importance of convergence between information technology and telecommunications.
