Turner announces new India initiatives

New Delhi, April 10

Turner has announced two significant initiatives to strengthen and expand its presence in the Indian media and entertainment industry. The company will launch its animation theatrical business and a Hollywood movies and series' channel with Warner Bros. Making the announcement on Thursday, the company said this was in line with its aggressive growth plans for India. Leveraging its expertise in the kids genre, Turner will establish a new multi-million dollar business unit to develop and produce animated films and expand its output of original live action television series. This, said the company, will be Turner's maiden venture internationally. - Our Bureau
