JK Paper net profit dips to Rs 10.29 cr

New Delhi, July 21

JK Paper Ltd has posted a dip in its net profits at Rs 10.29 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2008 as against Rs 12.38 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. The gross sales stood at Rs 314.45 crore, a 35 per cent rise against Rs 232.48 crore.

Higher sales have been achieved on the strength of a good response to the company’s recently launched packaging board products, a company release said.

“Demand for the company’s existing as well as new products was strong resulting in highest ever quarterly sales.Mr Shailesh Haribakti, a practicing chartered accountant, has joined the board as an additional director.
