Lattice Bridge offers Candidate Scan

T.E. Raja Simhan

Chennai, Aug. 27 ‘Talk-in interviews’ could soon replace ‘walk-in interviews.’

A few companies are experimenting with telephone-based candidate screening system, Candidate Scan, developed by the Chennai-based Lattice Bridge Infotech using ‘speech recognition technology’ and speech biometrics. Lattice Bridge is part of the TeNeT Group at IIT Madras.

Candidate Scan is an unassisted automatic telephone-based skill test for candidates. Five clients, including Phoenix Login, Infycareer and a global software major, are using the system as pilot. Clients can frame their own questions or Lattice Bridge can do it for them, said Mr C. Mohan Ram, Managing Director, Lattice Bridge.

“Candidate Scan breaks geographical distances, time factor (it is available 24 X 7) and language barrier. It can handle over a million calls every day. Imagine software companies being able to recruit from over 1,200 engineering colleges without having to visit them,” Mr Ram told Business Line.

The system can filter candidates at each level based on predetermined parameters and set up interview scheduling with respective department heads.
