Kerala fishermen union's plea

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala Swatantra Matsya Thozhilali Federation has asked the Government to view seriously the threat made by a section of boat owners to defy the monsoon-time trawling ban.

The State president of the Federation, Mr T. Peter, said here that the Government should direct the Marine Enforcement wing and the police to exercise caution and not to allow any such move.
