Essar Shipping buys crude oil carrier from Japan

MUMBAI: Essar Shipping Ltd said on Tuesday that it has acquired a crude oil carrier from Japan-based Hitachi Heavy Industries.

The company informed the BSE about the acquisition of a double hull double bottom large crude oil carrier from a Japanese company.

Upon this acquisition the company will have the largest fleet of modern crude oil carrier fleet in the private sector in India, it said. - PTI
