Marketing BANGALORE: Online marketplace, eBay India, sells 16 items to international buyers every hour with more than 378 Indian sellers registered with it. Apparel, leather, collectibles, handicrafts and jewellery were the main attractions from India in the global market, eBay India Country Manager, Mr Avnish Bajaj, said here today. He said, "we see a lot more global trading place in the future. Majority of the buyers were from the US, UK, Singapore, Mexico, Canada and Pakistan," he said. On any given day, over 3,500 items were available to international buyers on eBay India. "Our community of users is extremely innovative, entrepreneurial and creative and we look forward to providing them with even greater economic opportunities." Indian users could trade locally, regionally and globally along with the rest of the eBay worldwide community. Mr Bajaj said that besides trading, eBay was also looking to expand its operations in India. It might be either in customer support or technology support or financial or legal services. The India plan was being finalised. eBay was already outsourcing fro m some of the Indian companies and it was looking to have its own operations in India, he added. He said eBay India had over one million registered users from 240 cities across the country. On an average eBay India, sold a watch every four minutes, a digital camera every 31 minutes and a book every 64 minutes. A bollywood costume was sold every 1.5 days. - UNI
