SS Music expands `Virtual Request' to Hyderabad

Hyderabad , Dec. 9

SS Music (Southern Spice Music), a South-based channel dedicated music, has expanded its `Virtual Request' programme to Hyderabad, facilitating viewers to ask for songs of their choice in the channel.

Enhancing the tie-up with the Music World Entertainment Ltd, promoted by RPG Enterprises, the channel has set up a Web cam-equipped kiosk to let music lovers record their requests.

"The viewers, who so far accustomed to hearing his name and message over the channel, can now see their own images along with the voices over the channel," Mr Bryan Peppin, Head (Programming and Production), said.

He added that the facility had been received well in Chennai and Bangalore after its launch in the last two months. "We have been receiving about 70 requests on weekdays and nearly 100 over weekends." According to him, it will take 3-4 days for the requests to be telecast. SS Music plans to expand the facility to Kochi and, in a phased manner, to various other cities.
