New Products & Services LG Care enters FMCG market Our Bureau
Hyderabad , April 15 LG Care, belonging to the LG group of Korea, has entered the Indian FMCG market by launching eight categories of consumer products here. The products launched include toothpastes, shampoos, soaps, detergents, diapers, cleaners and cosmetics. The Korean company entered the Indian market through India Household and Healthcare Ltd (IHHL) with which it has a sole licensee agreement. IHHL has been set up in November last year for undertaking LG Care business in the country. According to the IHHL Managing Director, Mr Vijay R Singh, LG Care products will be available in all cities and towns with a population of over 1 lakh in the country by July. The eight categories of products will be sold in of various sizes and variants. It has also planned an aggressive marketing, advertising and other promotional campaigns. Mr Singh told newspersons that LG Care had initially estimated a turnover of Rs 100 crore in the first year operations but had scaled up the sales turnover to Rs 150 crore following a good response from the consumers to its advertisements. LG Care's turnover worldwide was over $1 billion. "LG Care has over 200 high quality consumer products in 20 FMCG categories. In many countries, the company's products are market leaders. We will not say buy one and get one, we say buy one and get a clean and beautiful life," he said.
