Kabir Jewels unveils new range in Kolkata

THE Mumbai-based Kabir Jewels Pvt Ltd introduced its Vanshi range of diamond-studded jewellery in the city on Thursday.

According to Mr Darmesh Vaghashia, Director of Kabir Jewels, the Vanshi range is both traditional and contemporary.

While the traditional range consists of heavy jewellery, the contemporary one focuses on jewellery that can be worn with formal attire.

The base price of the Vanshi range is Rs 2,000. Mr Vaghashia said some of the items are priced between Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh. "There is no such upper limit," he told reporters at a press conference.

During the financial year 2003-04, the turnover of Kabir Jewels was Rs 55 crore. In the current financial year, it is expected to double to Rs 110 crore.
