Reliance announces team for Trevira

Mumbai , Sept. 15

THE Reliance Group today announced a new management team for Trevira GmbH that it acquired from Deutsche Bank AG earlier this year for 80 million euros (around Rs 450 crore).

The ownership of Trevira was transferred to Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) on August 11, following the European Commission approving the acquisition.

A new supervisory board has been set with Mr Subodh Sapra, President, Polyester Sector, RIL as Chairman. The other members of the board are Mr Gunther Gunzenheimer and Mr Hans-Joachim Becker. Hereafter the supervisory board will oversee the functions of the Trevira management board.

Mr Bernd Sassenrath, who has been retained as the Chief Executive Officer would lead the management board of the newly acquired RIL group company. The other directors in the management team are Mr Jurgen Muth, Dr Jurgen Idzko and Mr Hemant Sharma.

While Mr Muth will look after finance, IT and personnel, Mr Idzko will handle production and technology, R&D and environment, health and safety while Mr Sharma will look after sales, marketing and supply chain management.
