RAVINDRA Upadhyay from Jaipur was selected as Channel [V] Samsung Super Singer from among the five finalists.

The finalists performed in Mumbai before the jury which included singer Adnan Sami, Music Director A. R. Rahman and Himesh Reshammiya.

Each of the five finalists performed one cover version and one original track which had been specially composed for them by music directors and lyricists including Sandeep Chowta, Palash Sen, Pritam, Medival Punditz and Abbas Tyrewala. Ravindra Upadhyay gets two music album deal with Times music, a music video, an opportunity to sing playback for Music Director Himesh Reshammiya in a Bollywood film, an 18-month contract with Channel [V].
