3i implementing Goa info-tech project

IT solutions provider 3i Infotech has partnered with the Government of Goa to implement the State’s integrated information infrastructure project.

The Government of Goa announced today the launch of GoaOnline portal, which would enable citizens to access government services through the Internet. The project also involves the setting up of 208 Citizen Service Centres (CSCs) and a State Data Centre.

As part of the project, 3i Infotech will build and operate a public-private partnership (PPP) project for a period of five years. Additionally, the project will have the capabilities to provide various business to consumer and business to business services.

The CSCs and GoaOnline portal and will encompass various government departments such as Goa Tourism Development Corporation, Office of the Commissioner, Labour & Employment and others, said a note from 3i Infotech.

The 3i scrip was down by 1.91 per cent to close at Rs 269.6 on the BSE today.
