The Hindu Business Line : Autopartsasia to offer product design, simulation services

Chennai, Dec. 29 Chennai-based Autopartsasia Pvt Ltd, which provides sourcing services for global companies that wish to buy auto components, intends to provide product design, simulation and mould design services.

This will not only attract more clients, but will also provide value-added services to its existing clients, the company’s Director and CEO, Mr K. Vaidyanathan, told Business Line.Autopartsasia uses Internet technologies for providing online supply chain management information for global sourcing and for providing E-catalog solutions to overseas clients.

The company is involved in commercial and engineering aspects of sourcing and reduces sourcing costs without the associated risks. Its services include source identification, validation, supplier liaison, inspection and private branding.

Animation tech

Now, the company intends to offer flash-based catalogue in the form of CD or online, for the users.

The flash-based technology helps in animating the performance of products, for instance movement of piston inside the cylinder, actuation of valves etc.

The company has set up an office in Bangalore for this purpose. With the increasing demand for these services, it has decided to replicate it in Chennai also, he said.
