MS India e-commerce platform

New Delhi, Feb. 8

Microsoft Corporation India has announced the launch of extensible e-commerce platform — www.buyoriginalms.com — for original Microsoft products including Windows, Office, Server, Xbox, games and gaming accessories. With this launch, any existing software reseller, Web site or blogger can start retailing original Microsoft offerings online, within a day.

“Designed to provide customers with greater ease of access and competitively-priced products, the platform is the first-of-its-kind in India for original software and requires no investment from partners. As more Web sites and bloggers start selling software using this platform, customers would be able to buy software online very easily through multiple Web sites. They would also be able to compare various sellers on price and customer satisfaction,” a company release said here. The platform offers customers a choice of payment options including credit or debit cards and net banking and partners earn margins on every original Microsoft product sold through their site. Alternate payment options, including cheque and cash on delivery would also be introduced shortly. –
