Versant Tech expands India centre

Hyderabad, Feb. 25 Versant Technologies, a US-based software solutions provider, has expanded its India development centre based in Hyderabad and plans to add facilitation and staffing services to new companies coming in to India.

The Chief Executive Officer of Versant, Mr Chennappa Naidu Darapaneni, said that the company has invested Rs 3 crore in the new centre with a facility to host around 220 people.

Set up in 2000, Versant has revenues of $3 million, employing 60 people in the US. The company offers system integration services and specialises in the areas of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) and Enterprise Application Interface (EAI).

Mr Chennappa said that the company is also offering recruitment and staffing services for enterprises setting up their facilities in India. This is an emerging business opportunity.

The company’s new centre was inaugurated on Sunday.
