The IT and ITES (IT-enabled services) Association of Andhra Pradesh in association with Gitam University is holding a one-day seminar on Saturday on employment opportunities and challenges in the sector and several heads of major IT companies in the State will participate in it, Vice-chancellor G. Subrahmanyam has said.
At a press meet here on Thursday, he said the focus of the seminar, to be inaugurated by State IT Minister P. Lakshmaiah, would be on promotion of IT industry in tier-two and tier-three cities and to address the issue of preparing the right kind of workforce for the industry.
He said more than 1,000 delegates would participate in the seminar including students from other colleges in the north-coastal districts. B.V.R Mohan Reddy, CMD of Infotech Enterprises and the Chairman of the board of governors of IIT-Hyderabad, Y. Harish Chandra Prasad, the chairman of Malaxmi group, Sanjay Gupta, domain consultant of TCS, Kranthi Kiran Vistakula, the CEO of Dhama Innovations Pvt Ltd, and others would participate in the seminar, he said.
