Kolkata , May 23

THE Mumbai-based Cenzer Industries Ltd, manufacturers of Cenzer branded watches, may join hands with the French major Group Sagem SA for producing office automation and consumer electronics items.

Currently Cenzer is Sagem's sole distribution agent of its GSM mobile phones in India.

The product has already been launched in several parts of India and was recently introduced in West Bengal and Orissa.

Mr Avinash Pathak, General Manager, Marketing and Sales, said that the Indian company might join hands with French major in future. "We are interested in bringing Sagem's office automation and electronic items in India. However, for the time being we will just concentrate on the mobile phone business." The company is also in talks with cellular operators such as Hutch and Airtel for a marketing agreement. One such arrangement has already been worked out in Andhra Pradesh with Airtel.
