Mumbai , Aug. 18

THE Rs 125-crore Topsgrup, engaged in providing security solutions, on Wednesday launched an Emergency Response Service called Topsline, which is modelled on the lines of the internationally acclaimed 911 response and rescue service.

The Topsline project is aimed at saving lives during emergencies like house fires, physical attacks, road accidents and medical emergencies.

According to Mr G.S. Anand, CEO of Topsline, the service has a fleet of 30 life brigades, including ICCU ambulances and mini fire brigades, and 80 `life patrols' in the form of two- and four-wheelers fitted with GPS transmitters and RTS communication systems for instant mapping and tracking.

The brigades are also equipped with advanced medical equipment like defibrillators, besides fire fighting equipment.

"On dialling the Topsline telephone number, its command and control centre will immediately act on any emergency and Topsline mobile life brigades and life patrols will reach the subscribers in crisis within nine minutes in any part of the city," he said.

The company plans to launch the service in New Delhi and Bangalore by mid-2005 and Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad by 2006.
