Fortis Financial acquires Capital Market Solutions

Our Bureau

Mumbai, Nov. 20 Fortis Financial Services Ltd, which is a substantial stakeholder of ‘Asian CERC Information Technology Ltd’ (ACERC) — a leading capital market software provider — has acquired Capital Market Solutions Pvt Ltd (CMS) — an Australian software major providing solutions and services to financial markets in Asia Pacific and UK.

Fortis Financial Services acquired 76 per cent equity of CMS through Regius Infotech Private and Regius Overseas Holding Company, Mauritius — a special purpose vehicle formed by it.

Strategic acquisition

CMS is a company incorporated under the laws of Australia. Capital Market Solutions provide software, services and solutions to stockbrokers, investment banks and investment managers. Fortis Financial Services, through this strategic acquisition, would be able to support ACERC to expand its product reach to the international market.
