Australia-based geospatial IT solutions provider We-do-IT has opened its first office in the country here. “We have 13 professionals on the rolls now. We plan to increase the headcount to 60 in about a year,’’ Kalyan Kamepalli, Chief Executive Officer, We-do-IT (India), told newspersons here. Walter Hesse, Global CEO, said a ‘right shoring’ approach facilitating a judicious mix of Australian and Indian professional was being adopted in staffing and recruitment. The company has 100 professionals working for it globally, he added.

Gordon Rich-Phillips, Minister for Technology, Government of Victoria, Australia, said Victoria had ICT business worth $30 billion. “We are looking for export and investment opportunities in India and also welcome Indian firms to invest in Victoria,’’ he said. Wipro and Infosys were already present in Victoria, he added.
