Leo Burnett to handle Centurion Bank account

Ajita Shashidhar

Mumbai , Dec. 26

LEO BURNETT has bagged the creative and marketing services duties of Centurion Bank. Speaking to Business Line, Mr Arvind Sharma, Chairman and CEO of Leo Burnett, said that the account would generate billings worth Rs 20 crore; bulk of the investments would be for marketing services.

"We will be developing CRM programmes for upselling to their current customers as well as a programme for new customer acquisition. We would also be doing a local area programme," said Mr Sharma.

The creative side, according to him, would focus on more strategic creatives that would talk about how Centurion Bank is different than other banks and so on.

He added that Leo Burnett would be playing the role of strategic consultants to the bank.

The agency also acquired the account of HDFC Standard Life recently, which Mr Sharma said would primarily involve doing mass media campaigns for them.

Leo Burnett is also among the five agencies short-listed by Reliance Infocomm.

Mr Sharma said that the company is still in the process of shuffling the various duties; these would be announced shortly. The other short-listed agencies are JWT, Contract, Mudra, and Everest.
